BALLYMONEY Bodybuilder has recently returned from Bahrain where he competed in the 2008 IFBB World Bodybuilding Championships.
The took place from 2nd-7th November in Manama, the capital city of Bahrain and saw the very best bodybuilders, flex and pose as they bid to take top honours.
Having taken fourth place in the UKBFF British Bodybuilding Championships in Nottingham two weeks prior to the Worlds, Stephen was very positive going into this competition.
Competing in the middleweight category, Stephen was places 16 and he commented: "This was an amazing competition with some awesome physiques. I was reasonably happy placing 16th as all the competitors are champions in their own nations. There were 24 competitors in my class. and so this equals the best result I have had at the World Championships to date.
“The winner of my class was from Iran and was unlucky not to win the overall title as well, which was won by his light-heavyweight team mate from Iran.
“Now that the World Championships are out of the way I am concentrating now on building more mass in preparation for next year's British Championships in October when I hope to lift the title!
“In the mean time I am starting to organise the 2009 UKBFF Northern Ireland Bodybuilding Championships which I will hold in Ballymena on Saturday 27th June 2009."
