Jenna makes a great start to the season

COLERAINE'S Jenna McCorkell has just had a great start to the new season in the Neblehorn Trophy in Obersdorf, Germany.
Jenna who ended the last season with lifetime and personal best scores on the European Championships last February has again shown great form in the short and long programmes in Germany in her first international outing of the new season.
McCorkell who is the five times and current British Senior Ladies Champion took a great eighth place overall in the Europeans blowing away the opposition with a first place in the Technical Element Score.

"Jenna is nudging on the podium places with the top skaters in the world consistently now and this can only be good for her standing in the sport. Jenna is very committed and her hard-work ethic is to be admired and we can all look forward to even more success in this sport from her in the future."
Recently married to Olympic Ice Skater Kevin Van der Perren and living in Belgium for the last two years, Jenna has also returned to train part-time in England with former coach Yuri Bureiko in Coventry.
Yuri also travels to train Jenna in Belgium maintain the long standing partnership which was originally established when he coached Jenna as a teenager when she first moved from Northern Ireland. Jenna is now back in training for her next international competition.
