Big band night ahead for Dungiven’s Own Eoghan!

X Factor fever has hit St Patrick’s College as Eoghan Quigg’s year 12 classmates keep an eye on his progress on the popular tv program.
DUNGIVEN'S own Eoghan Quigg (16) sailed through another live show on Saturday night with his performance of Michael Jackson's 'Ben'.
The Northern Constitution caught up with Eoghan's proud father Chris when he returned to Dungiven after watching his son perform to nearly ten million television viewers.
The X Factor had to step up security this week after Muslim preacher Omar Bakri blasted the show and its contestants for supporting Forces charity 'Help for Heroes', for whom X Factor is releasing a fundraising single.
This Saturday's show is 'Big Band' week for the remaining 10 acts, including our favorite Eoghan so please keep voting to keep the Dungiven schoolboy's dream alive!
His dad Chris answered a few of our top questions about our Eoghan:
Q: How did Eoghan feel his performance on Saturday night went?
A: "Eoghan felt that he did quite well. He was happy with his performance."
Q: Is he finding it difficult being away from home?
A: "Of course, he misses his family. He also misses his friends."
Q: Does Eoghan have a tutor while he is there as he is obviously missing school?
A: "He has a tutor for every subject. Some of his tutors do two subjects with him."
Q: How did Eoghan's mum Denise cope with having to stay at home for his live show?
A: "Denise found the show nerve-racking. When you're at the show you have a lot of different things that can take your mind off the voting, but when she was sitting in the house there were no distractions and it was a lot more nail biting to watch Eoghan's performance."
Q: Why is Eoghan excluded from the ITV2 aftershow?
A: "Because Eoghan is under 18 he cannot be on the TV after 10.30pm"
Q: Which celebrity is Eoghan most delighted about meeting?
A: "Eoghan said that when Nadine Coyle from Girls Aloud saw him she ran towards him and gave him a great big hug. He said that it was great experience to meet her and her Derry accent made him feel at home."
Q: Which other contestant is Eoghan closest to in the house? Who has he bonded with?
A: "Eoghan is very friendly with everyone in the house but especially with Laura White, Diana Vickers and Ruth Lorenzo.
